WHAT IS PERMANENT EYELINER?

At first consideration, permanent eyeliner can sound a little scary; however, there is absolutely no need for concern.  Tattoo artists in general are highly trained to be steady handed and intuitive,  permanent makeup artists are even more so since they understand how to effectively use their equipment and high quality topical anaesthetics to precisely apply the tattoo with minimal discomfort.  Moreover they are able to secure the treatment area so well that even blinking and watering does not interfere with the application.

Many clients feel nothing, others report merely a scratching and even a tickling sensation. What is best about permanent eyeliner is that it is, with the exception of quick colour refresher sessions, the most permanent makeup procedure.   This is largely due to the pigments used, as well as the skin of the eyelid itself, having less dermal activity than other areas of the face, meaning the colour remains stable over longer periods of time.

YOUR EYE MAKEUP WILL NEVER SMUDGE

While perfection sessions are mandatory for all permanent makeup treatments, it is  quite common for clients to require no touch up at all.  If any is required, it generally involves minor tweaking which is done quickly and efficiently.  On your second visit, the artist examines the area and either elects to do nothing at all, or needs to do very little to perfect the look.

Permanent eyeliner lends itself very well to a bespoke design.  An  experienced artist will  likely be able to match your daily eyeliner application, including colour.  Perhaps you wish for your eyes to stand out more with a subtle enhancement at the lash line, known as an eyelash enhancement.  Maybe you prefer a classic look which has either a straight, winged or wedged outer eye finish.  It is even possible to create the look of eye shadow using advanced techniques with the artist always mindful of gravity, ensuring your eyeliner will continue to complement your eyes no matter your age.  Clients may choose to have an upper eyelid liner alone, or add a lower eyeliner.  A lower eyeliner tends to be finer and more diffused, nestled tightly to the lash line for the most refined look.  As with all treatments the design is shaped ahead of time.

Treatment takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.  Swelling and redness are rare; however, if it occurs your artist will provide ice packs and prescribe an after care regimen to optimize and expedite healing.
